2019-Sep-30 : Katrin Bohn invited as expert to international action research project
Last week, Katrin participated in a workshop of the international research project Urbal: Urban-driven innovations for sustainable food systems. Urbal uses participatory research in eight cities to develop and test a holistic methodology to map the impact pathways that go from urban innovations to all dimension of sustainability of food systems.

More than 35 researchers from various discipline (geography, sociology, economy, nutritionism, agronomy, environmental science, management and marketing science, logistics, planning) coming from 9 different countries are directly involved in the Urbal project. The Department Landscape Architecture . Open Space Planning at the Technical University Berlin is leading one of the project’s Urban Food Innovation Labs, Supply chain innovation, for which the Berlin start-up aquaponics farm Efficient City Farming (ECF) serves as case study.

Katrin has collaborated with Prof. Giseke and the Department Landscape Architecture . Open Space Planning at TU Berlin before, most intensely during her guest professorship at the same Institute between 2010 and 2014.
